Q: I'm about to put in an order for your excellent JavaScript Tree Menu (still weighing up the options between buying a single license for now or the Multiple site one).
I noticed that the not-for-profit free license doesn't cater for Intranets.
Can you please confirm that your drop down menu code (paid license) would indeed work for Intranets though, as this is my current quest. I'm working on a company's internal site which has a lot of documents, procedures and forms for download, which is precisely why I would like to purchase your product.
Can you please confirm or shed light on this?
A: Yes, you can use the licensed copy of JavaScript Tree Menu on Intranetwebsites.
You should register the drop down menu code for a domain name or for IP address.In other words, you should register the menu for the domain name thatyou print in a browser's search string, for example:
http://intranet/
http://klinikum-nuernberg/
http://192.168.0.1
http://localhost
But you menu won't work on a local machine, for example
j:\Stationshandbuch\start.html
with Single or Multiple licenses. On a local machine you'll see"Incorrect Key" message.
If you want to use the menu with an application that doesn't have afixed domain name you should buy Developer License.
Q: I have configured the Deluxe Tabs menu for the purpose that this menu will form the basis of a website's navigation, once clicked a tab it will take you to the appropriate page.
However one problem I have faced is that menu, regardless of current webpage will display the same active/ selected menu item, having looked in the menu parameters I know that the following set the positions of the selected tab :

* var bselectedSmItem=0;
Is there anyway of selecting the dhtml tab menu index location according to what webpage you are on? On your website it shows an example of a PHP server-side script, however is there an example of this in ASP ?
A: No, unfortunately we don't have such examples in ASP.
Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab also.
You can set "bselectedItem" and " var bselectedSmItem" parametersbased on your link before you call your data file.
For example, move " var bselectedItem" and " var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.

You should define seltabs and selsmtabs using server side script.

A: JavaScript Tree Menu is fly out menu.
You can create vertical menu with such structure but your submenuswill be shown when you hover over menu only.

Q: Whenver I choose the enable Ajax feature and set the AjaxCount to 0, my menus don't pop out anymore. How do I get it to pop out?
A: That variable set the maximal number of submenus that will be loadedfrom server on your page.
If you don't know exact number of submenus you can set a big value forthis parameter.
If you set var dmAJAXCount=0; you cannot see you submenus.
To enable Ajax feature you should set, for example:
