Q: Is it possible via code customization to remove the border only for the top level of popup navigation
and subsequent menu levels with the border?
If yes, would you provide technical assistance with the required code change?

A: You can use Individual Item Style in that case.
You should create Individual Style, for example:

  var itemStyles = [
["itemBorderStyle=none,none"], // style 0
];

And assign it for top items:

  var menuItems = [

["Home","testlink.html", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ], // assign style 0
["Product Info","", "deluxe-menu.files/icon1.gif", "deluxe-menu.files/icon1o.gif", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ], // assign style 0

Q: I have just downloaded your trial version and am trying to use delux tuner using the windows xpstyle template.
I can only seem to get the top button showing as grey but can change colors of submenus in dhtml xml menu.
Am I missing something? ?ow do I get the top button showing the same as submenu buttons.

A: To change submenu colors you should change the following parameters:

  var menuBackColor="#F2F3F2";
  var itemBackColor=["#F2F3F2","#535353"];

and Individual Submenu Style:

  var menuStyles = [
["menuBackColor=#F2F3F2","menuBorderWidth=0","itemSpacing=0","itemPadding=4px","smOrientation=undefined"],
];

For the top items you should change Individual Item style:

  var itemStyles = [
["itemHeight=21px","itemBackColor=#F2F3F2,#535353"],
];

Q: If I wanted to change the graphics at a later date in tab menu javascript (main top tabs, subtabs, etc.), how would I do that?

A: In that case you should open images I'm using for top tabs in any graph editor and changethem.

back.gif
back_o.gif //back images for normal and hover states for the last tabs in the top menu(instead of the 1-st 6 items)

sep_top.gif // separator for the top items

top1.gif
top1_o.gif //back images for normal and hover states for the 1-st tab, you can change thetext of this tab in deluxe-menu.js:

["<font color='#FFF90E'>MAIN</font><br>Initiative<br>(Strategy)","testlink.html", "", "", "", "", "5", "4", "", "", "", ],

By the way to apply hint for this item you should write:
["<font color='#FFF90E'>MAIN</font><br>Initiative<br>(Strategy)","testlink.html", "", "", "This hint appears when you hover over the 1-st item", "", "5", "4", "", "", "", ],

top2.gif
top2_o.gif //back images for normal and hover states for the 2-nd tab, you can change thetext of this tab in deluxe-menu.js:
["<font color='#FFF90E'>PAIN</font><br>Identified<br>(Problems)","", "", "", "", "", "6", "", "", "", "", ],

and so on...

For the subtabs I'm use images for arrows only:
  var arrowWidthSub=8;
  var arrowHeightSub=8;
  var arrowImageSub=["deluxe-menu.files/arrow.gif","deluxe-menu.files/arrow_o.gif"]

Q: I looked through your FAQ's to solve my problem of trying to make the background of the top dhtml slide menu transparent. I set the itemBackColor to transparent and also menuBackColor to transparent. Do I have to changeanother setting to activate this? Right now it is currently white and I can't even find a spot that would make it white, unless it's just white by default.

A: Check that you haven't set background color in the Individual Styles.
