Q: I have a question that I cannot find in your FAQ section about your Javascript/DHTML Tree Menu.
Bought the whole set a few days ago and is very happy about it, I am uzzled & frustrated about one thing now though.

+ = Link with subCat.
I have a menu that looks something like this:
- Home
+ Our products
+ FAQ
+ Stores
- Contact
+ Wholeseller
+ About us
Now every link here has a icon/s to the right that shows if the category is folded up or not. Trouble is that so has the - Home and - Contact that DON'T have any subitems! How to create dhtml menu so those two tree items won't get the rightsided icons?
The frustrating/confusing thing is if I place - Home or - Contact into lets say + Our products, the right side icon goes away and there it looks as I want it. But I NEED it to look this way in the top section.
A: You have icons in the top items on the right side in XP-style only.
You can set the following parameter to turn off XP-style:

Q: Hi, is there a way to fire an event when a net javascript menu tab page loads? I want to turn on a section of the page that is not part of the tab when a tab page is made visible.
A: Actually you can use your own Javascript code instead standard links. For example:

Q: I've been working with your javascript menu sample and like what I see so far. One issue I have seems to be with the smColumns variable. I'm assuming it was for just the sub menus but in the trial when I change this the entire menu goes into multi- column mode. I exported the project to HTML thinking I could manually change it there, that produced the same result, changed the entire menu to multi-column.
Our menu will be dynamic (populated from SQL Server) with only some of the sub menus being multi-column. We will even have multiple sub menus for certain items and we'll need to have the capability to set which one of those will be displayed in Multi-columns and which ones will not. (See Below) So the question becomes; Is there a way to set the number of columns only for the javascript menu sample subitems we desire to have multi-column and if so how?
A: You should use Individual Styles and set number of javascript menu sample submenu columns foreach submenu individually.

Q: I am testing out your menu system as I try to redesign my site. It is a vertical menu with submenus.
I have hundreds of pages in my site and I'd like to be able to attach your menu system to all of them.
However, I will be making changes to the menu system on a regular basis.
I do not want to go change every program in the site each time I need to make a menu change.
I was hoping you could give me some kind of programming code that I could enter into the <body> section of my html files which would automatically read a file into my prograrm, which contained the menu code.
This way when a menu change is needed, I edit one file, all the programs read that file and display the menu.
As an example of the code I would want read into a webpage at start up:

A: If you change the menu parameters only there is no need to change code on each page. You should only replace your old data file (data-deluxe-menu.js) with the new one.
If you don't want to install your menu on each page, you can try to use frames, the menu has a cross-frame mode.

Also you can use a server-side script (php, asp, vb, etc.) to generate html pages from templates on your server.
