Q: I am now running the newest version, all ok. A new client wants to have submenus openFor the left hand menu navigation that I purchased, can I choose what dhtml tree menus will be expanded or collapsed when the user first comes to the webpage for the first time?
For instance, right now, when the user first goes to the page ALL of the menus are collapsed. If I wanted the first and third tree menus to be expanded and the others to stay collapsed when a new user first went to the page, how would I accomplish that?

A: You can expand some items by default.
Add '+' sign before items text in that case:

Use var texpanded=1; parameter to expand all menu items by default.

A: JavaScript Tree Menu has only two states normal and mouseover.
Try to do the following things:
- delete var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:
function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)
Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.
But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.
Q: I am putting your deluxe menu on our pages but if I do not put the menu on top, then it the sub menus appear on opposite direction (from bottom to top.) So instead of dropping down, they drop up.
We do not want this to happen. Can you please let me know how to resolve this issue?
Mouseover menu submenu drops up unless you scroll down or put the menu on top.
A: See if your submenu has a big height and there is no enough room under the menu to showthe whole submenu the submenu will be shown above the menu (if there is enough space toshow the whole submenu).
You can set exact height for the submenus, so they will go in the place under the menu.Q: However when recreating the menus after deleting all trace of the trial version and loading on the licensed version I have developed problems.
When I create menus and test using expression web on explorer it works well but when published to web the dropdown menu appear but cannot be clicked on to be diverted to the relevant links. Also since loading the licensed version when using the test browser in expression web firefox a message appears as follows “firefox dosen’t know how to open this address, because the protocol (c) isn’t associated with any program”.
Please advise I have loaded the licence in the correct way I’m sure.
A: You cannot use local paths on your website. They won't work.
