Q: So, I'm actually developing an application with wordpress, and I would like to intagrate this excellent javascript navigation menu.
This site is Educational, and provides media about TI, for students of the Autonom University of Tamaulipas, in Mexico.
A: Actually we're using JavaScript Tree Menu in our WordPress blogs without anyproblems.
You should edit the php template of your theme.
1. Go to Design -> Theme Editor
Open header.php file

2. Upload folder with all menu files on your server
3. Add the following code in the <head> tag:

<script type="text/javascript" src="menu/dmenu.js"></script>
where 'menu' is the folder with all menu file on your server.
4. Call data file in the place where you want to have the menu, forexample:

5. Click 'Update File' button.

Q: Why is it that when we place a drop menu ina div that the droppping part is not right uner the menu? The menu on top banner is the problem.. Thesame code outside of a div futher down the page works fine.
I can place the same menu outside of the div and it works fine.When it is in a div the drop part of the menu is pushed to the far right of the screen.
A: Brian, see, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "POSITION: absolute" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style (style="POSITION:absolute;"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.
Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css, for example:
You should add style="POSITION: absolute;"
to the
<div id="menu">
So, you'll have:
<DIV id="menu" style="POSITION: absolute;">
Q: I am evaluating 'Javascript/DHTML Tree' and have the following question: Is it possible, and how can I hide a dhtml pop menu branch, that only shows up if user logs in with a certain password. The intent is to only make some menu branches visible to and accessible to 'superuser'.
A: Put the special script on each page of site that will open appropriate section.

How would I alter the code so that when a user clicks anywhere on the tree with multiple nodes, the entire tree expands instead of the user having to be so precise in selecting the tiny icon to expand the tree.
