Javascript Tree Menu. Expandable Menu.

  • Use a mouse to move a menu as a usual window.
  • When the page is scrolled the menu remains visible. The menu can "float" along one or two coordinate axes. After clicking on menu item selected item becomes highlighted.
  • There can be as many submenus as necessary. Any submenu in its turn can include different number of columns.

Q: I have notices that using IE7 on a W2K3-R2 browsing your page I can't see the javascript collapsible menu, it happened in our development as well.

A: Your browser has JavaScript option disabled.
It means that no one JavaScript element can be run.
You should to enable JavaScript in IE:

Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom level... -> Scripting -> Active Scripting = Enable

Q: How can I have two floating menu under each other using the float option so that do not collide with each other?

A: You can try to adjust the following parameters to the one menu:
  var floatableDX=15;
  var floatableDY=15;



Q: Everything works perfectly on Firefox, nothing works on IE6.

No rollovers, no drop downs.


A: You should the following parameters

  var menuBorderWidth="0";
  var itemBorderWidth="0";

These parameters cannot be empty.


Q: So, I am still interested if there is a dynamic way to rebuild (and restructure) a menu w javascript, just for interest.

A: No, unfortunately it is not possible to rebuild the menu withoutreloading of the page now. We'll add this feature in the next versionof the menu.
