Q: I need to be able to highlight the selected menu item of the sliding drop down menu.
A: JavaScript Tree Menu has only two states normal and mouseover.
Try to do the following things:
- delete var pressedItem=1; parameter from your data file
- set correct parameter on each page before you call data file, forexample:

You can also set a pressed item using Javascript API:
function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)
Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.
But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.
Q: If is there any way I can give some space between pressed_item and hover item for the rollover menus
A: You can try to specify spacing parameter:
var itemSpacing=1;
You can also try to use separators.
You should add separator between menu items:

Set separator parameters in the following way:

Q: Now, one more little question -
in a Tree menu, I know how to make a menu expand by default and expand only on a mouse click.
However, I believe there is a way to make a menu item expand on a "mouse over" without a click.
How can this be done?
A: No, unfortunately it is not possible to expand the tree menu onmouseover now. It is possible that we'll add this feature in the nextversion.
Q: The window pops up every time I load the screen.
I want dhtml pop up window to pop when someone clicks.
A: You can specify the ID of the element you want to click on.
Actions sections in Deluxe Tuner, onClick parameter.
1) You can show the popup window when you hover, click or mouseout on some elements on yourpage. For example you have:

So, in Deluxe Tuner you should enter 'open_popup' object ID in the onMouseOver,
onClick or onMouseOut fields.
Actually you can assign id to any object on your page:
add id="open_popup" for <a>, <div>, <img> ... tags.
2) You can also use deluxePopupWindow.open() function to open the popups.

function deluxePopupWindow.open("winID", "content", "header", "param", "skin", "contentType")
Use another winID (first parameter) than you have in your data file if you don't want to close 1-st popup window or use thesame winID=win if you want to close 1-st popup.
content - will be the path to the file you want to load in your popup (files/test.html)
skin - is the name of your skin (default in my example)
contentType - set this parameter to iframe.
If you want to open several windows at once use different id's for each link.
