Disable/Enable Items
Some of items can be disabled by default.
To disable the item set item's target to "_".
For example:
["My Item", "mypage.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif", "icon3.gif", "Short Tip", "_"]
On this example items "Sample 6", "New Sample 2", and "New Sample 5" are disabled.

Javascript Tree Menu. Expandable Menu.

Use a mouse to move a menu as a usual window.
When the page is scrolled the menu remains visible. The menu can "float" along one or two coordinate axes. After clicking on menu item selected item becomes highlighted.
There can be as many submenus as necessary. Any submenu in its turn can include different number of columns.

Q: I've seen, that it's possible to open the linked contents for the javascript floating menu in the same or in a new window or in a frame ,but is it possible, too, to generate a new tab?Open a new tab seems to be less risky ... is there any solution to beused with Drop Down Menu? A: You should use _blank.
If your browser supports tabs your link will beopened in a new tab (except IE, in IE it will be opened in a newwindow).

Q: Maybe have some code that would tell the tree menu html to expand on that particular page?

A: On your pages you should call the following function/functions to expand/highlight items,
for example:

Q: Is there a javascript function that I can call that will return the ID or the Text value of the currently checked tab?

A: Unfortunately there is no such a function now.

There are such variables.

dtabs_tabs[menuN].b1 - dtabs_tabs[menuN].selectedItem
dtabs_tabs[menuN].JT0 - dtabs_tabs[menuN].selectedSmItem

But they contain the index of the selected menu item, not the ID.
