Q: Shall I have to call the main egine file of the javascript menu maker - dmenu.js twice if I want to install two menus on the page.

A: Actually you can create any menu with JavaScript Tree Menu. You can use Individual Styles tocreate your menu.

Try also to specify units in "px".

At current It looks like it is on a percentage increase related to the amount of text, can I change this to a fixed value no matter the text amount?
A: You can use Individual Item Style.
Use that parameter:

Width of an item (px, % or other units).
