Q: I am trying to implement JavaScript Tree Menu 2.0 on a .aspx-page.

However the Norwegian characters are not showed correctly. (only in the menu)

What do I need to do?

It works fine with the old version of JavaScript Tree Menu in our normal asp-pages.


A: When you call data .js file you can try to specify the encoding:

or

Try that.

Q: The first is that for some reason my item separator image will not show. I have tried everything.. and no matter what I do the image will not show. I designed a graphic that is 2 pixels high and is the width of the total menu. The first problem is that the graphic wont show at all.. and I do not know why. Secondly, I am now thinking that I would like to use the separator graphic on all levels of the menu.. but this creates a another issue.. as the width of the submenus varies based on the length of the text displayed. How then can I have a separator image work in the submenus?


A: Try to write you Item Styles so:

You didn't paste separator into your menuItems.

Q: We are now working with JavaScript Tree Menu and can't get our favorite template to link. It is the one you call animated-icons
The example you gave has no links, but when we try to add links to it (in the 2nd parameter of any menu item), NOTHING happens.
It's not a broken link, it just wont do ANYTHING.


A: See your menu parameters. Now you have:

You should set this parameters:

  var itemTarget="_self";
  var statusString="link";

Q: Can I call javascript within the drop menu javascript?

A: Yes, it is possible.
Actually you can use your own Javascript code instead standard links and html code inside item text. For example:
