Q: How do I make the top nav buttons exactly the same width for each button?

Total menu width is 743px and I have 6 buttons I want the width of each button to be fixed at 123px.

I set   var menuWidth="743" but it averages out the buttons based on the text.


A: You should use individual item styles. For example:

Q: Is there maybe a way that I can set up the menu so that it does not load at all until someone clicks on, say, a link, such as 'Products' and clicking on that link would then load the java menu buttons onto the page in the desired position?


A: Yes, you can do it.
Delete dm_init(); function from data file and use OnClick event foryour 'Products' link.

Q: We are using Deluxe-menu to create dhtml menubar for our website. This website it will be in three languages, English, French and Spanish. In French version, when we insert "Hébergement" in text box and view it in preview is fine, but in actual webpage the accents not right. The following is screen shot of the menu on preview and webpage, please let me know how we can fix this problem.

A: You should set "Tools/Use UTF8 encode" and create your dhtml menubar.

Q: Hi, I am testing your menu system for my company and would like to know how to keep the menu in the centre of the page like <centre></centre>.
I know how to do it without a floating menu but cannot work out how to do this with it floating.


A: When you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use

  var absolutePos = 0;

and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.
