A: You should paste "javascript:some_function()" into item's link field, for example:

I wanted to know how to hide/ disable the item in the javascript text menu for a particular user/roleid in .ASP.Net1.1 Kindly help me out with this problem as soon as possible.

You can try to use API functions in that case:
function dm_ext_changeItemVisibility (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, visibility)
To disable items you should set the target parameter to "_".
You can try to use the following function
function disable() {
dm_ext_changeItem(0, 1, 1, ["", "", "", "", "", "_"]);
}
to disable items in your javascript text menu.
Q: I'm trying the deluxe menu and I'm positively impressed.
But now I'm trying to simply use javascript to add some properties to my menu.
I modified the dynamic to 1
and I get only one error in the javascript monitor telling me:
Error: dm has no properties

menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0. (you have written menuInd=1, but if you have one menu on your page you should write 0).
You also have written itemStyleInd=1, but you have only one style in your menu. So you should write "0" or "-1".
Q: Please identify the parameter I need to set to produce ... Tree menu items start out as normal text , then Bold text for tree menu items on the onmouseover event . After mouse out, text returns to normal.
A: Unfortunately, Javascript/DHTML Tree doesn't have such a feature. You should addthe following code in your data file:
