Q: Under Opera everything works fine but under IE the submenu’s are way down the page and go off the bottom of the screen.


A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="PADDING-BOTTOM: 10px;"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.

Please, try to add your

css file -> inline css, for example:

You should add style="PADDING-BOTTOM: 10px;"

to the

<DIV class=department-menu>

So, you'll have:

Q: Another glitch is that the first item on the sidemenu stays dark blue -

A: In your code now you have:
  var pressedItem=0;

A: Yes it is possible to create a menu for right-to-left languages with Javascript/DHTML Tree in the same way as in standard htmlcode.
Please, set <HTML dir="rtl">. You should set the following parameters:

  var titemAlign="right";
  var ticonAlign="right";
  var texpandBtnAlign="right";

JavaScript Tree Menu support right-to-left languages.
In JavaScript Tree Menu you can set the following parameter:

  var dmRTL = 1;

Set this parameter to 1 if you're using right-to-left direction of html page <HTML dir=rtl>.


Q: We were wondering is there any api for the css menu tabs available?
We would need to programatically open a particular tab.

A: No, unfortunately Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions now.

You can use the following function to open specific tab:
dtabs_itemClick(menuInd,itemInd);
where
menuInd - index of a tab menu on a page, >= 0.
itemInd - index of a item, >=0.
