Recent Questions Smoothly Open Tree Menu

Q: I just purchased deluxe menu and can't seem to figure out how to get a custom onMouseOver and onMouseOut event to work on a javascript drop down menu item.

Could you please detail how to do this?

A: Unfortunately, you can't assign onmouseover/onClick/onContextMenu event to each item.
However, you can achieve this by using standard html objects within javascript drop down menu items, for example:

  var menuitems = [
["<div onContextMenu='your_code_here'>item text</div>", ""]
];

Q: Is it possible to use more than one Menu in one Site, for example with

<script type="text/javascript">  var dmWorkPath1 = "menue/produkt.files/";</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="menue/produkt.files/dmenu.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">  var dmWorkPath2 = "menue/navigation.files/";</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="menue/navigation.files/dmenu.js"></script>

unfortunately this syntax doesnÒ‘t work

A: You can use as many menus as you want on the one page.

But you should call dmWorkPath parameter and dmenu.js file only onceon the one page.

You cannot write dmWorkPath1 and dmWorkPath2. Youir menu won't workcorrectly in that case.

You should write
<!-- JavaScript Tree Menu -->
<noscript><a href="http://deluxe-menu.com">Javascript Menu by Deluxe-Menu.com</a></noscript>
<script type="text/javascript">  var dmWorkPath = "menudir/";</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="menudir/dmenu.js"></script>
<!-- (c) 2007, http://deluxe-menu.com -->

and call several data files:
<script type="text/javascript" src="menudir/data1.js"></script>
...
<script type="text/javascript" src="menudir/data2.js"></script>
...
<script type="text/javascript" src="menudir/data3.js"></script>

Q: We are now working with JavaScript Tree Menu and can't get our favorite template to link. It is the one you call animated-icons
The example you gave has no links, but when we try to add links to it (in the 2nd parameter of any menu item), NOTHING happens.
It's not a broken link, it just wont do ANYTHING.

A: See your menu parameters. Now you have:

  var itemTarget="";
  var statusString="string";

You should set this parameters:

  var itemTarget="_self";
  var statusString="link";

Q: I have two question for now...

Where can I change the word "loading" during ajax is loading the submenu?????
Is state saving of javascript based tree just for the first level??? Does it works for the AJAX submenus?

The reason why I switch to treemenu is the possibility of state saving!

A: I've just checked your website and save state feature works fine for the ajax submenus.

Actually we've added this feature in v3.2.7 of Javascript/DHTML Tree.

I see you changed the "Loading.." text inside the dtree_ajax.js file.
