I tried to use "_tab" instead of "_self" or"_parent", but it did not work!

A: You should use _blank.
If your browser supports tabs your link will beopened in a new tab (except IE, in IE it will be opened in a newwindow).

Q: I have a JavaScript Tree Menu Multiple Website License and have been using it in several projects where it is running without problems. But now in my new project the sub menu won't drop down in the content frame, but will appear in the same frame as the main menu. What's wrong?

A: It seems that you open the submenu in the wrong frame.

Set ID for the first frameset:

Q: I have the following problem. I've set target parameter to "_self".
But my html files still opens in a new window.


A: Please, check the following parameters:
  var itemTarget="_self"; //default target

You can set target parameter for each item.

See menuItems parameter:

Q: I am trying to implement JavaScript Tree Menu 2.0 on a .aspx-page.

However the Norwegian characters are not showed correctly. (only in the menu)

What do I need to do?

It works fine with the old version of JavaScript Tree Menu in our normal asp-pages.


A: When you call data .js file you can try to specify the encoding:
