A: You should set pressed item.
Please, check the following parameter
var pressedItem=-2;
This parameter sets an index of an item that will be highlighted by default.
-2 - the toggle mode is disabled;
-1 - the toggle mode is enabled, but no items highlighted by default;
0,1,2,3,... - index of highlighted item in a top-menu.
JavaScript Tree Menu v2.4 has only two states normal and mouseover. Now we'repreparing new version of JavaScript Tree Menu. It saves it state after thereloading of the page. We're planing to release a new version during a month.
You can set a pressed item using Javascript API:
function dm_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, recursion)
Sets a current pressed item.
menuInd - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
submenuInd - index of a submenu, >= 0.
itemInd - index of an item, >=0.
recursion = true/false - highlight parent items.
But notice, to use dm_ext_setPressedItem() you should know ID of selected item and subitem.
You can't get this ID after you reload your page. That is why you should write your own code on PHP.
You can also set the correct
var pressedItem=1;
parameter on each html page.
Q: My top levels over the menu have no link and as such I need the cursor not to change when hovering over it – only change over the menus that drop down.
Please let me know how to fix this
A: Unfortunately, you can't change cursor type for different items.
But you can write so:
["< a href='http://deluxe-menu.com/'> Home ["Product Info","", , , , , "0", , , ],
["|What's New","", , , , , "0", , , ],
In all items with links you should use < a> tag.
Set this parameter:
var itemCursor="default";
Q: I am struggling with my menu on my site the submenu is under the main text area. How do I make the submenu come to the front.
A: Check your z-index for <DIV id=navigation>.
Try to write it, for example, so:
<DIV id=navigationstyle="Z-INDEX: 10; LEFT: 0px; WIDTH: 170px; POSITION: absolute; TOP: 5px; HEIGHT: 600px">

A: If you don't want the page will be cached, try to use standard htmltags, for example:
