Q: Our requirement is to design a website using Cross Frame Menu ,
in allcombinations like Horizontal Menu with sub menus Vertical Menu with sub menus
Let me know the necessary information to create Cross Frame Menu using your side dropdown menu..

A: See how should you create cross frame menu:

1. To initialize the cross frame menu call dm_initFrame()
function instead of standard dm_init() function within data.js file:

dm_initFrame(framesetID, mainFrameInd, subFrameInd, orientation);

framesetID - id attribute of the frameset;
mainFrameInd - index of the main frame (where the top-menu is placed), >=0;
subFrameInd - index of the subframe (where the submenus will be shown), >=0;
orientation - frame orientaion: 0 - top-to-bottom, 1 - left-to-right; 2 - bottom-to-top; 3 - right-to-left.

So you should create your menu in Deluxe Tuner, save it.
Create html file with your frame set.

Set ID for the first frameset:
<FRAMESET id=frmSet rows=220,*>
<FRAME id=frame1 src="JavaScript Tree Menu Samples_files/cross-frame-horizontal-1.htm"> //menu frame
<FRAME id=frame2 name=frame2 src="JavaScript Tree Menu Samples_files/testlink.htm"> //content frame
</FRAMESET>

Then you should open your data file in any text editor and change
dm_init(); for example to dm_initFrame("frmSet", 0, 1, 0);

Q: I see "Incorrect Copyright" message in IE7.

A: Now you're using JavaScript Tree Menu v1.12.

You should upgrade you JavaScript Tree Menu to v2.0.
Please, download licensed files from the same link in your licensemessage.
How to upgrade to v2.00
---------------------------------------------------------------
You can download the licensed engine .js files from the same link in your license message. JavaScript Tree Menu v2.00 has new parameters and features.
To upgrade to v2.00 you should do the following.

Step 1.
1.1 For Windows users
a. Run Deluxe Tuner v2.0
(can be found in the trial menu package v2.0
http://deluxe-menu.com/deluxe-menu.zip).
b. Open menu data file (.js file where menu parameters are placed):
select File/OpenA
c. Save the file: select File/Save, then click "No" button when the dialog box appears.

1.2 For other OS users
a. Open menu data file (.js file where menu parameters are placed) in a text editor.
b. Make sure that the following variables exist in the data file:

  var keystrokes = 0;
  var dm_focus = 1;
  var dm_actKey = 113;

  var dynamic = 0;
  var smHideOnClick = 1;
  var itemAlignTop = 'left';
  var smSmartScroll = 1;

  var dmAJAX = 0;
  var dmAJAXCount = 30;
  var dmRTL = 0;
  var dmObjectsCheck = 0;
  var menuBackRepeat = "repeat";
  var menuHeight = "";
  var transDuration2 = 200;

If one of the variables doesn't exist - add it at the beginning of the file.

c. Save the file.

Step 2. Now open HTML-page that contains JavaScript Tree Menu.

Step 3. Replace existent tags of the menu by the following code:

<noscript><a href="http://deluxe-menu.com">Javascript Menu by Deluxe-Menu.com</a></noscript>

Step 4. Save HTML-page.

Step 5. New engine v2.00 has 7 .js files.
They are:
- dmenu.js
- dmenu4.js
- dmenu_add.js
- dmenu_dyn.js
- dmenu_key.js
- dmenu_cf.js (new v2.00)
- dmenu_popup.js (new v2.00)

Replace all old .js files by the files from v2.00.

Try that.

Q: Just wondering if you could help.I wish to put a script java menu on every page of my site - through all the folders etc.
How do I set it so that they all 'feed' from the same dmenu.js file?
How do I set the file path to that file from all pages of my website?

A: 1) How do I set it so that they all 'feed' from the same dmenu.js file?
You should use absolute path here:

1. Paste the following code into a tag of your page:

<!-- JavaScript Tree Menu -->
<noscript><a href="http://deluxe-menu.com">Javascript Menu by Deluxe-Menu.com</a></noscript>
<script type="text/javascript">  var dmWorkPath = "http://site.com/menudir/";</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://site.com/menudir/dmenu.js"></script>
<!-- (c) 2009, http://deluxe-menu.com -->

2. Paste the following code where you want to have the menu:

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://site.com/menudir/data.js"></script>

2) How do I set the file path to that file from all pages of my website?
If you don't want to create your menu on each page, you can try to useframes, the menu has a cross-frame mode.
Also you can use aserver-side script (php, asp, vb, etc.) to generate html pages fromtemplates on your server.

Q: I dowloaded the free trial of this product and I am trying to figure out how to put dhtml pulldown menu into a website that I have built with Homestead.com's Site Builder. I just CANNOT figure out what all I need to do to get it to work.

I am willing to pay for someone to install it or pay for the product but I need to make sure it will work on this site!

A: Unfortunately we don't work with HOMESTEAD.com page builder.

1. upload the folder with all menu files in the same folder with your html page.
2. open the page in your program
3. open html source code of the page
4. add several rows of code (<script> tags), For info see: http://deluxe-menu.com/installation-info.html
