Q: I am attempting to install a menu I've created into FrontPage2003.
I read what the web site says but it didn't seem to work. Any other suggestions?
A: JavaScript Tree Menu wasn't developed as Dreamweaver/Frontpage extension,BUT you can use it as standard Javascript files. To install the menuinto your html page:
1. open the page in your program
2. open html source code of the page
3. add several rows of code (<script> tags), For info see: http://deluxe-menu.com/installation-info.html

Q: I am trialing your tab menus at the moment and plan to use them on my website. I think they are excellent. I have been trying to work something out and hope you can help me. I have a nice menu set up, and want to change web pages when one of the tabs is clicked. How can the new page have the same java jump menu, but with a different tab activated? I can only seem to get this to work with a menu on a page that goes nowhere. I would have to pass a new value to bselectedItem but I don't know how.
A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't support API functions which can return theselected tab.
You can set "bselectedItem" and " var bselectedSmItem" parametersbased on your link before you call your data file.
For example, move " var bselectedItem" and " var bselectedSmItem" parametersfrom your data file to your code.

You should define seltabs and selsmtabs using server side script.
You can also set it on every page before you call data.js file, forexample:

Q: I have been using JavaScript Tree Menu quite a bit, but am now running into a problem on a site I developed. When I add a submenu, it appears separated by about 100 pixels down. In this case I left it on the Menu Item “Why Maumelle” for you to look at.
Can you help me out?
A: See, the problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="position:relative"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.
Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css, for example:
For example, you should add style="position:relative;"
to the
<DIV class=MainBody>
<DIV class=Banner></DIV>
<DIV class=Menu>
So, you'll have:
<DIV class=MainBody style="position:relative;">
<DIV class=Banner></DIV>
<DIV class=Menu style="position:relative;">
Now we have only such solution for this problem.

Q: We recently bought your product.
We are developing in ASP.NET (VB) and we have a problem making you deluxe menu dynamic to suit our needs. We are using the JavaScript Tree Menu.
The problem is each time a page with dhtml nav loads, we want to be able to generate the menuItems variable to reflect the options the individual user has, so it can't be hard coded into data.js it MUST be provided by an aspx file and attached somehow. I can't work out how to attach the variable (even a static one) as a separate file, so if you can do it with a static one, we can extend it to a dynamic one later.
For example the JS in the data.js file we want the MenuItem dimension you be loaded in a seperate file, some kind of include.
