Q: Drop down menus I have created with your product DHTML Tuner don't look too good in FireFox... is there something I can do different or do you have a newer/better solution that would work for both IE and FireFox?
A: And what exact problems do you have in Firefox? Actually JavaScript Tree Menu works fine inFirefox. But notice that filters and transitional effect are supported by IE5.5.5+ only.
http://deluxe-menu.com/filters-and-effects-sample.htmlQ: I'm confused in how to do this. I want to change the background color of one of the javascript and menu items. If I understand correctly I go to INDIVIDUAL STYLES and should be able to change the background color for one of the menu items there. Under item appearance I tried to change itemBackColor - but I can't seem to make it take affect (I tried clicking OK but its under the Style Names, so thats probably not it.
A: You should click "Edit Individual Styles" button.
On the 'Item Styles' tab click "Add style" button.
Set itemBackColor and click "OK" button.
Select the item you want to change the style for and assign new style for it. Go to Item Parameters window 'Item style' field.
var itemStyles = [
["itemBackColor=#EB2999,#590937"], //style0
];
var menuItems = [
["Home","testlink.html", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Product Info","", "default.files/icon1.gif", "default.files/icon1o.gif", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ], //style0 Q: Is there any way I can do the opposite and make the space my separators take up only a few pixels high? At present I can only make them the same height as the other buttons even though the separator image is only 2 pixels high.
A: You should set a separator in the menuItems, for example:
var menuItems = [
["Home","index.cfm", , , , , , , , ],
["-"],
["About Us","about.cfm", , , , , , , , ],
];
Please, see the following parameters:
//--- Separators
var separatorImage=""; //for subitems
var separatorWidth="100%";
var separatorHeight="3px";
var separatorAlignment="right";
var separatorVImage="images/public/separator.gif"; //for the top items
var separatorVWidth="100%";
var separatorVHeight="2px";
var separatorPadding="";
Q: We are an enterprise license holder and have recently purchased JavaScript Tree Menu and are transitioning to it smoothly except for one minor annoyance; the first dhtml div menu item's submenu always has a gap between the browser’s left side as shown below. This happens for Internet Explorer 6, 7 and Firefox 2 and 3.04b.
If I move the menubar to the right about ten pixels, the submenu's left side will line up with the word "Search" as it should. Every other submenu on the dhtml div menu appears directly beneath its menubar item except for the very first one on the left. I’ve tried using a few of the example configurations but they all experience the same behavior.
The installation is in a multi-framed environment.
A: You should change dmenu.js file. Open it in any text editor and find:
space=15;
Change it to:
space=0;
