Recent Questions Dreamweaver Template Tree Menu

Q: I've just put together a new drop down menu box for one of the sites I'm working on and whilst in IE it works fine, in FF the drop down menu box is not appearing over the Flash banner.

I don't understand why as this was put together with the latest version of JavaScript Tree Menu - my understanding was that this issue was resolved a while back?

Can you help me sort this.

Q: Can I just have the date displayed without the time in the javascript popup calendar


A: You cannot hide time from the calendar templates.

But you can chose the output data format.

Q: The arrows on my cross browser javascript menu only show on the main page of my website (www.domain.com). I read the FAQs and the problem seems common and related to a path error. My path appears correct (to me anyway..lol) but it still doesn't work.

A: Try to use absolute path to your images. Set the following parameter:

  var pathPrefix_img="http://www.domain.com/";

Q: I recently purchased DeluxeMenu for a project I'm working on and a new requirement has been submitted.
I am looking for a way to dynamically affectthe contents of menu javascripts
after it's been rendered(displayed) in the browser.
Can this be accomplished with this component?

A: 1) You can use API functions to affect items dynamically:

2) Generate your menu items dynamically from database.
Unfortunately we don't have working example with ASP.

You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.
However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so,
you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:
