Javascript Tree Menu. Expandable Menu.

  • Tune menu parameters manually or using Deluxe Tuner. Then add several rows of a code within html page - your menu is ready!
  • Use special JavaScript functions for: Dynamic changing of items (text, link, icons and even individual style!). Making a menu item active/disabled. Addition/removing of items. Changing of visibility of items. Collapsing/expanding of items. Getting the information on any menu, submenu and items. Other tricks. But for all that it's not necessary to insert any additional code into all the pages - just specify some additional parameters of the menu.

Recent Questions Treeandmenu Keep Opened Level

Q: I am interested in purchasing your product for use in my company's website code. My clients are not tech-savy, and I do not want to include any code that will generate concern or problems on the user end.

Is there a way to use the JavaScript menus without generating the warning as mentioned in the subject? I know how to allow the active content on my web browser, but I want code that will not require such actions on their browsers.

A: Thanks for your interest in our products.
Your clients should check browser settings.
Unfortunately, we can't affect on the browser behavior in this case.

Q: If you look at our site in IE (PC) the deluxemenu looks great justified left w/ our logo justified right. When you look at it in Safari (Mac) the dhtml menu dropdown is stretched across the entire width of the page and our logo is no longer in view (yuk!).

A: Try to set exact width for the menu in 'px':

  var menuWidth="300px";

Q: It is mostly working now except where I have two rows of nav tabs.. The top row opens new pages and the bottom row is just regular div tabs... works fine in IE and Firefox but not Chrome... any ideas?

A: Try to open links in the following way:

  var bmenuItems = [
["Overview","link:Sun_Cabo_Services.asp", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
["-"],
["Villa Services","link:Cabo_Villa_Services.asp", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
["-"],
["Chef/Cook Services","link:Cabo_Chef_Services.asp", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
["-"],
["Spa Services","link:Cabo_Spa_Services.asp", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
];

Q: Is there a way to center floatable menus horizontally on a page?
I used to use absolutePos=0, and all of my menus were centered ok, but when I tried floatable=1 I found that I had to change toabsolutePos=1 to get the menu to float, and this messed up my centering. Since I have multiple menus of different widths, I'd rather not have to hard-code the menu width, but please let me know if there's a better way.

A: Notice, when you use floatable menu you can't use relative menu position.
So, if you use

  var absolutePos = 0;

and to center the menu you use <p> or <div> with the center alignment your menu won't float.
To center your floatable menu you should set absolute coordinates.
