I do have a question however. I know if I put a "+" in front of the title, the category will be expanded by default.

Is there a way to do that dynamically? Maybe have some code that would tell the sliding tree menu to expand on that particular page?

A: On your pages you should call the following function/functions to expand/highlight items, for example:

Q: I am conisdering purchasing your menu generator product, however I have a question that is very important to me.

How can I add a separator to the dhtml menu examples using the dynamic functions? It seems as though the only way to get a separator into the menu is by defining it before hand, but the website I'm building will require me to reload the menus dinamically, and I'm losing the ability to put separators on it.

If there's a workaround for it, or if there's a chance that you can give me a prototype function that exposes that functionality, that would be acceptable as well.

A: You should add items using the following function:

function dm_ext_addItem (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams)
or
function dm_ext_addItemPos (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams, Pos)

Q: Comprehensive Mental Health has a site license to \use JavaScript Tree Menu. We are currentlyrunning version 2.0.

Unless we set the topdy parameter to be -65, our submenus do not appear adjacent to the toplevel menu. Below are our parameters and our menu. What is causing this problem?


A: It is possible that you have some problems with your css.
The problem is that the script can't get css properties of the object if they are described in separate .css block (or file).
In other words, you can't get the value of "position" attribute of the object if the object doesn't have this property within inline style(style="position:absolute"). To get the value you should move .css style into style="" attribute.

Please, try to add your
css file -> inline css, for example:

You should add <DIV id=SiteMenu>

to the

style="position:absolute;"

So, you'll have:

<DIV id=SiteMenu style="position:absolute;">

Check that.

A: Scott, now you're using dmenu.js file v1.14 and data.js file of JavaScript Tree Menu v2.0.
Please, replace dmenu.js file with the licensed one v2.0.

Please, place all this files in the folder where your menu iscreated in.
