Recent Questions Javatree With Jquery

Q: Is it possible to add a combo box or a search field to a tree view component?

A: You can paste any html code inside item's text, for example:

["+Support", "", "icon5_t.gif", "icon5_to.gif", "", "Support Tip"],
 ["|Index  <select style='width:120px;height:17px;font:normal 10px Tahoma,Arial;'><option>Section 1<option>Section 2<option>Section 3</select>","", "", "", "", "", "", "0"],
 ["|Search <input type=text style='width:80px;height:17px;font:normal 10px Tahoma,Arial;'>  <input type=button value='Go'style='width:30px;height:17px;font:normal 10px Tahoma,Arial;'>", "", "", "", "", "", "", "0"],
 ["|Write Us", "mailto:[email protected]", ""],
 ["|<INPUT TYPE=checkbox CHECKED ID=chk1 onclick='choosebox1()'>Uncheck this check box for some free advice","","","",],
["<img src='img/sep.gif' width=113 height=1>"],

Q: I fixed that problem, but if you look at the website, I have the first 2 links in the javascript sliding menu set to show up in the mainframe but nothing happens. When I open deluxe menu on my computer, it also shows that I have the third link set up to show in the mainframe too but when I upload it to the website, it acts like it's not pointing to any file/url

A: Now you have:

["Home","main.html", "", "", "", "#mainframe", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["County Departments","dept.html", "", "", "", "#mainframe", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Board Members","", "", "", "", "mainfrm", "", "", "", "", "", ],

It is not correct to set target as "#mainframe". You should write"mainframe":

["Home","main.html", "", "", "", "mainframe", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["County Departments","dept.html", "", "", "", "mainframe", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Board Members","", "", "", "", "mainframe", "", "", "", "", "", ],

Q: I want to have one of the drop menus in the horizontal navigation use a different image.
I am using the vista images and would like to have all of them but one use the same image
and the last one a different one. Can this be done?

A: You should create Individual Style for the last item and assign another image for it.

  var itemStyles = [
["itemWidth=92px","itemHeight=21px","itemBackColor=transparent,transparent","fontStyle=normal 11px Tahoma","fontColor=#FFFFFF,#FFFFFF","itemBackImage=data-vista-01.files/btn_black.gif,
data-vista-01.files/btn_black_blue.gif"],
["itemWidth=92px","itemHeight=21px","itemBackColor=transparent,transparent","itemBackImage=data-vista-2-03.files/btn_green.gif,data-vista-2-03.files/btn_green2.gif","fontStyle='normal 11px Tahoma','normal 11px Tahoma'","fontColor=#FFFFFF,#FFFFFF"],
];

  var menuItems = [
["Home","testlink.html", "", "", "", "", "0", "0", "", "", "", ], //style 0
["Product Info","", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ], //style 0
...
["Purchase","http://deluxe-menu.com/order-purchase.html", "", "", "", "_blank", "0", "", "", "", "", ], //style 0
["Contact Us","testlink.htm", "", "", "", "", "1", "", "", "", "", ], //style 1
];

Q: How I can write the changed dhtml pull down menu into a database?

A: Unfortunately, we don't have such example.

You may generate a menu from a database or XML using any server-side script, e.g., PHP, ASP, VB, etc.However, these scripts don't work inside of Javascript .js files, so, you should move parameters of a menu from a .js file into an html-page, e.g.:

<!-- Javascript/DHTML Tree -->
<noscript><a href="http://deluxe-tree.com">Javascript Tree Menu by Deluxe-Tree.com</a></noscript>
<script type="text/javascript" src="menudir/dtree.js"></script>
<!-- (c) 2006, http://deluxe-tree.com -->

<script type="text/javascript" language="JavaScript1.2">
// and describe parameters of a menu
  var parameter1=value1;
  var parameter2=value2;
etc.

  var tmenuItems = [
// here you generate items using server-side scripts (php, asp, vb, etc.)
];
</script>

The example of the menu working with PHP/MYSQL you can find here:
http://deluxe-menu.com/rq-loading-bar-MySQL-support.html

This example is not for Javascript/DHTML Tree menu, but you can create your menu in the same way.
