Recent Questions Right To Left Tree View Javascript

Q: How do I apply styles to submenu items that are different from the styles of top javascript drop down menu items? For instance, I want to know how to apply background images for the submenus, but not for the menu items. I also want borders around the submenu ITEMS, not just the entire submenu. Here is the link to my page with the menus. The menu I am referring to is the top right hand menu (black with grey).

A: Create Individual Item and Submenu styles and assign it to your submenu items.

  var itemStyles = [

["itemHeight=23px","itemBackImage=deluxe-menu.files/btn_black.gif,deluxe-menu.files/btn_cyan.gif","itemBorderWidth=1","itemBorderStyle=solid,groove","itemBorderColor=#2C2C2C,#FF0000"],
];
  var menuStyles = [
["menuBackColor=transparent","menuBorderWidth=0","menuBorderStyle=none","itemSpacing=0","itemPadding=0px 0px 0px 10px"],
];

["Home","testlink.html", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["Product Info","", "deluxe-menu.files/icon1.gif", "deluxe-menu.files/icon1o.gif", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
 ["|Features","testlink.html", "", "", "", "", "0", "0", "", "", "", ],
 ["|Installation","", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ],
   ["||Description of Files","testlink.html", "deluxe-menu.files/icon6.gif", "deluxe-menu.files/icon6o.gif", "", "", "0", "0", "", "", "",],
   ["||How To Setup","testlink.html", "deluxe-menu.files/icon6.gif", "deluxe-menu.files/icon6o.gif", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ],
...

Assign Individual Items style to all submenu items and Individual Submenu Style for the first item in each submenu.

Q: My question is how can I change the size and color of the font for the
main items in the simple dhtml menu, not the drop downs?

A: You can use Individual Item Styles in that case:
http://deluxe-menu.com/individual-item-styles-info.html

Set the style you need for subitems:

  var fontStyle=["normal 11px Trebuchet MS, Tahoma","normal 11px Trebuchet MS, Tahoma"];

Set the style you need for main items:

  var itemStyles = [
["fontStyle='bold 12px Arial','bold 12px Arial'"], // style 0
];

Assign this style for main items:

  var menuItems = [
["Scenic album","scenic-album.htm", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ], //assign style 0
 ["|Item 8","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
 ["|Item 9","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],>  ["|Item 10","", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ], ["Floral album","floral-album.htm", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ], //assign style 0
["Southwest album","southwest-album.htm", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ], //assign style 0
["Wildlife album","wildlife-album.htm", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", "", "", ], //assign style 0
];

Q: I did not make anything complex - simply added a couple of menu items. As you may see the java swing popup menu being expanded overlaps with the rest of the table. I guess I am just not doing something right since it is a trivial case ...

A: Now you're using absolute position for the menu:

  var tabsolute=1;

You should use relative position.

Q: Is it possible that when a main button on the home page is clicked and the viewer goes to the subpage, that the navbar will expand to the correct subpage submenu? For example, I click on Agent and when the subpage loads the submenu is expanded under Agent.

I've been trying to get the javascript hide menu bar to stay highlightedwhen clicked on and directed to that page. For example when clickedon Agent, then Agent Home, once that page loads the whole javascript hide menu bar for Agent Home stays highlighted in orange. I haven't been successful, any suggestions?

A: Tree Menu doesn't save a presseditem as it saves a tree state. It works within 1 page only and if youreload the page you should set a pressed item using Javascript API.
