Javascript Tree Menu. Expandable Menu.

You can set default expanded/collapsed items and submenus.
After clicking on menu item selected item becomes highlighted.
When the submenu is larger than the visible area of the page the submenu will be automatically decreased. To see all the submenu items you do not need to use scrollbars or something like that - just put your mouse to the bottom of a submenu and it will be automatically scrolled! You can also specify height and width for each separate submenu.
There is no need to write additional code on a server side to remember what items were expanded/collapsed. Javascript/DHTML Tree can save items state automatically!

A: For example you want to open a popup onMouseover, onClick oronMouseout on a link.

So, you should create a link on your page and set id="" for it, forexample:

Q: I am now running the newest version, all ok. A new client wants to have submenus openFor the left hand menu navigation that I purchased, can I choose what dhtml tree menus will be expanded or collapsed when the user first comes to the webpage for the first time?

For instance, right now, when the user first goes to the page ALL of the menus are collapsed. If I wanted the first and third tree menus to be expanded and the others to stay collapsed when a new user first went to the page, how would I accomplish that?

A: You can expand some items by default.
Add '+' sign before items text in that case:

Q: I want to change the background color of one of the menu items of the menu horizontal.If I understand correctly I go to INDIVIDUAL STYLES and should be able tochange the background color for one of the menu items there. Under item appearance I tried to change itemBackColor - but I can't seem to make it take affect (I tried clicking OK but its under the Style Names, so thats probably not it.

Please advise.

A: You should click "Edit Individual Styles" button.

On the 'Item Styles' tab click "Add style" button.

Set itemBackColor and click "OK" button.

Select the item you want to change the style for and assign new style for it. Go to Item Parameters window 'Item style' field.
