Q: Is there a way to hide a menu options using either CSS or the java api based on the site user for the mouseover menu?
A: JavaScript Tree Menu supports Javascript API.

You can try to use API functions in that case:
function dm_ext_changeItemVisibility (menuInd, submenuInd, itemInd, visibility)
To disable items you should set the target parameter to "_".
You can try to use the following function
function disable() {
dm_ext_changeItem(0, 1, 1, ["", "", "", "", "", "_"]);
}
to disable your items.
Q: I still am unable to make content show for each menu with dhtml tab.
I can make it open a new webpage, but that isnt what I want.
What I want is when the visitor clicks a tab, then content for that tab shows, on the same page, and the tab menu still there.

You can create only one level of tabs and assign Object Id's of theDIV's to show when you click on the tab.

You can use Object ID as well as Link in both modes. Use the following prefixes within menu with dhtml item's link field:"object:" - means that there is object id after it;
"link:" - means that there is a link after it.
"javascript:" - means that there is a javascript code after it, for example:javascript:alert(\'Hello!\')
So, you should write for example:

Q: Is there any way to prevent the scrollbar from appearing in the dhtml menu samples.
A: You should set the following parameter:
var smSmartScroll=1;
Q: I want tree view menu to be in expande state mode, how can I do this? Also, same goes for all the other menus depending which link I click.
A: You can try to to call the following function/functions to expand/highlight items, for example:
