Q: If I have a Menu and Tab control on the same page, how do I get the menu pop up to have a higher z-index so it displays on top on the tabs?

I want the main menu to display above the Label/Candle tab control.

A: Deluxe Tabs has z-index = 2000
JavaScript Tree Menu has z-index = 1000

You can open dmenu.js file in any text editor and find the following code:

dmZOrder=1000

Change it to

dmZOrder=2050

Q: How can I add a separator to the expanding navigation bar using the dynamic functions?
It seems as though the only way to get a separator into the menu is by defining itbefore hand,
but the website I'm building will require me to reload themenus dinamically,
and I'm losing the ability to put separators on it.

A: You should add items using the following function:

function dm_ext_addItem (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams)
or
function dm_ext_addItemPos (menuInd, submenuInd, iParams, Pos)

Q: Shouldn’t the dhtml expand menu know what page you are on and expand accordingly?
Or would you need to ‘hard code’ each page to be expanded basedon that page?

A: You should set the following parameter
  var ttoggleMode=1;

Javascript/DHTML Tree doesn't save a presseditem as it saves a tree state. It works within 1 page only and if youreload the page you should set a pressed item using Javascript API:

function dtreet_ext_setPressedItem (menuInd, itemID)

To expand specific items you should use API function
function dtreet_ext_expandItem (itemID, expand)

A: Deluxe Tabs doesn't have API functions to set pressed item on-the-fly. You can set presseditem on the page loading only.

But you can use onClick event for the JavaScript Tree Menu items and call the following function toopen appropriate tab:

menuN - index of a menu on a page, >= 0.
itemN - index of a tab you want to show, >=0.
