Disable/Enable Items
Some of items can be disabled by default.
To disable the item set item's target to "_".
For example:
["My Item", "mypage.html", "icon1.gif", "icon2.gif", "icon3.gif", "Short Tip", "_"]
On this example items "Sample 6", "New Sample 2", and "New Sample 5" are disabled.

  • Use a mouse to move a menu as a usual window.
  • When the page is scrolled the menu remains visible. The menu can "float" along one or two coordinate axes. After clicking on menu item selected item becomes highlighted.

Q: But one of my big questions... can I use an include to pull the script for menu in?

A: If you don't want to create your menu on each page you can use aserver-side script (php, asp, vb, etc.) to generate html pages fromtemplates on your server.

You can use cross frame menu.
It allows you to build full-featured menus on the pagesthat use frame-based structure. And it's not necessary to insert any code into all the pages -just specify the additional parameters of the menu and initialize it.

Q: I appreciate your assistance with this problem. I am 98% of the way happy with this product. When I made the changes you suggested, the copyright error went away, however the site no longer validates. It does not like the <noscript> tags. Is there a fix for this?

A: Matt, you can move your <noscript> tag into the <body> tag.
Try that.



Q: I use v3.0.
I cannot manage to search within the menu.

I have done this:

  var dmSearch=2
"search:" in the link of a new item


A: You forgot to copy dmenu_search.js file on your server.

See the attached example. Search works fine.

You can also specify styles for the search box:

Q: I just purchased your product and I have it installed and it is working great. Great job with this product.

I am wondering why I am only seeing just a small percentage of the templates for the css rollover menus. On your web page, there seem to be dozens of different styles to choose from. On my local software there is only a few. Can I download the additional "vista" styles somehow?


A: We've included all templates in the installation package.
