Q: Can I use my own images as the tabs in a dreamweaver navigation bar?
A: The Drop down menu items have the following structure:
var menuItems = [
[text, link, iconNormal, iconOver, tip, target, itemStyleInd, submenuStyleInd, jsFilename],
[text, link, iconNormal, iconOver, tip, target, itemStyleInd, submenuStyleInd, jsFilename],
...
];
Where iconNormal, iconOver - Icons of an item: icon in normal state, icon in mouseover state.
So you can set your menu items in a such way:
var menuItems = [
["","testlink.htm", "icon1.gif", "icon1o.gif"],
["","", "icon2.gif", "icon2o.gif"],
["|","testlink.htm", "icon3.gif", "icon3o.gif"],
["|","testlink.htm", "icon4.gif", "icon4o.gif"],
["|","testlink.htm", "icon5.gif", "icon5o.gif"],
["","testlink.htm", "icon1.gif", "icon1o.gif"],
];
Q: Is there a way to increase the margin between the text on the main tree menu and the edge of the dhtml menu control. The text appears to be right up against the left margin.
A: You can add symbol before item's text, for example:
[" Javascript/DHTML Tree: XP Style","", "", "", "", "XP Title Tip", "", "0", "0", "", ],
or you can write:
["+<div style='padding-left: 15px;'>Javascript/DHTML Tree: XP Style</div>","", "", "", "", "XP Title Tip", "", "0", "0", "", ],
Actually you can use any html code within dhtml menu control items.
Q: I am using your Deluxe Tabs software, and I am simply trying to implement your dhtml menu samples:
http://deluxe-tabs.com/file/templates/deluxe-tabs-style-3.html
I have downloaded the trial software and built my tabs, but at this point, all I have is the tabs... I need the entire box under the tabs, and I need to be able to insert my content for each tab.
Please explain to me how to use your dhtml menu samples.
A: You should specify any Object ID name of the DIV.
See, for each item you should assign the ID property of the contentDIV (see data file with your menu parameters).
["Style Name","contentName", "", "", "", "", "1", "", "", ],
["-","", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
["Style Description","contentDescription", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["-","", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
["Style Variations","contentVariations", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", ],
["-","", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
["Empty","", "", "", "", "", "2", "", "", ],
And on your html page you should create DIV's with such ID. You canset background image for these DIV's in styles.
<div id="contentName" style="height: 0%; visibility: hidden; background-image: url('img/back.jpg'); background-repeat:repeat-y;" class="tabPage">
<br><br><br>
<p align=center><img src="img/style01_title.gif" width=140 height=90 alt="Glass Style Tabs"></p>
<br><br><br>
You should paste your content here!!!!!
</div>
<div id="contentDescription" style="height: 0%; visibility: hidden;" class="tabPage">
<br><br><br>
<p align=center><img src="img/style01_title.gif" width=140 height=90 alt="Glass Style Tabs"></p>
<br><br><br>
You should paste your description here!!!!!
</div>
Q: What is the difference between itemStyles and menuStyles for the down javascript menu?
A: See you should assign the menuStyles to the whole submenu (the first item in the submenu).
itemStyles you should assign for each item individually.
