Q: I am working in a Hispanic area, and need to be able to utilize specialcharacters
in titles in for navigation menus.
However, those are appearing distorted on my website.

A: Actually you can use any letters in the menu.

Please, check that you've set "Tools/Use utf8 encode".

When you save your data file in UTF8 you should use the same encoding on our html page.

So you should write:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8">

If you don't want to use UTF-8 encode on your page you should turn off
"Tools/Use utf8 encode" property, save your data file and manually
change your letters in any text editor.

Q: How woud I make all the sub-menu’s height and text smaller in the css dhtml menu?


A: You can create Individual Item Style and assign it to each item insubmenu.

For example:

  var itemStyles = [
["itemHeight=10px","fontStyle=normal 9px Trebuchet MS, Tahoma"],
];

and assign it to each item in submenu:
 ["|Item 7","", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
 ["|Item 8","", "", "", "", "", "0", "", "", ],
you can also use standard <br> tags.

Q: How do I add padding around a top item in the javascript menu buttons?

A: You should specify itemPadding parameter in "px".
You shouldadd "px" in your style for subitems:

  var menuStyles = [
["menuBackColor=#F2F3F2","menuBorderWidth=0","itemSpacing=1","itemPadding=4px","smOrientation=undefined"],
];

Notice also that you can set multiple value for itemPadding parameter,for example:

itemPadding=4px 10px 4px 10px// top right bottom left

Q: Ok I found the problem. When I make   var floatable=0; dhtml flyout menu stays perfectly on the top as before but when I change it to   var floatable=1; then it stays on top when the page loads but moves down when the page fully loads.


A: There are additional parameters for floatable feature in v3.2 now.
You can find them in Deluxe Tuner.

Try to write:
  var floatableDX=0;
  var floatableDY=0;

These parameters set minimal space for widow border.
